Bike to Church Day: This Sunday, July 28th, is “Bike to Church” day at Highlands United Methodist Church. We invite you to ride to worship, and then join us for a community bike ride following worship. Feel welcome to park your bike on the west side of the Church where we’ll watch over it during worship. After worship, there will be two rides, one for adults and one family friendly ride for children. The kids’ bike ride will go a few blocks to Edison Elementary for some time at the playground (all ages welcome). The adult’s bike ride will be a quick ride down to and a lap around Sloan’s Lake. The adult’s ride will be approximately 5 miles in length (round trip) and will take about 25-30 minutes (round trip). Everyone is welcome to join us for lemonade and popsicles in the basement of the church after both the adult and children’s rides. Feel welcome to email Allen Cowgill with any questions.
If you have a bike, now is the time to pull it out of the garage! What a wonderful way to get to know church members in a different setting. Biking attire is always appropriate at Highlands United Methodist Church. We have one new bike rack thanks to our new Green Denver designation and there are plans to get more!
