Fall at a Glance reminds us that it is fall already, even if we are not ready for summer to end! School has started and the church calendar is filling up. Here are some of the things you can look forward to this season.
October 12th, the second Sunday of the Month, is Children’s Worship from 9:15 until 9:45. This service is held on the Second Sunday of every month.
Sunday, October 12 is also Bike/Walk/Carpool to church Sunday with rides and walks held after the service.

strong>Sunday, September 21 is work day. You can wear your paint clothes to church and help refresh the first impression Highlands United Methodist Church makes on newcomers. This has been expedited because the floors are scheduled to be refinished and we wouldn’t want to splatter after that!
Saturday, September 27 is PB&J day. PB&J volunteers meet at the church every fourth Saturday at 10:45 to prepare lunches to take to the homeless in and around City Park.
October 4, from 1:00 until 4 p.m., is Fruit Preserving and Pie Making Day. If you are a novice or an old pro at these activities you are invited to participate in this activity sponsored by the green team.
Sunday, October 5th is the annual green team Potluck luncheon after church services. This luncheon focuses on sustainable foods and reminds us to be informed consumers when we plan our meals and do our grocery shopping.
Also on Sunday, October 5th from 12 until 2, there will be an offsite “Blessing of the Animals” at Highlands Animal Clinic. Bring your dog, cat, fish, iguana, goat, chicken, llama… and celebrate their life and God’s love for them.
