Food and Fellowship

We, as United Methodists, follow a long tradition of gathering for Food and Fellowship. Highlands United Methodist Church is great at feeding the faithful.  Every Sunday Morning we meet in the Fellowship Hall to catch up with our church family on a more personal level as we share a cup of coffee or juice and have a snack.

The Hospitality Team is responsible for pulling this ministry together and we can all help.  Anyone who wishes can sign up to help make sure we have these snacks to share after church.  The Golden Girls take care of us on the Second Sunday of the Month, and Cristina House keeps a list of volunteers for the other Sundays.  You can email Cristina to help out!   If you have a special recipe you have been wanting to try  or a favorite you haven’t made in a while, your church family is more than willing to taste it for you!  Finger foods and small individual servings work best for serving several people quickly.

A church snack is an easy way to celebrate the special moments in our lives, Baptisms, Anniversaries, Birthdays. Who doesn’t like to celebrate special occasions with food and fellowship?  If you wish to volunteer to bring snacks to celebrate an event or on a regular basis just click to email Cristina!
