Bearing Fruit

The Green Team at Highlands United Methodist Church begins Fruit Watch through the fall as people’s trees start producing fruit.  The Green Team at encourages all of us share our excesses by harvesting our bounty and sharing it with those most in need.  Instead of letting fresh fruit go to waste, the Green Team stages a collection effort so we can deliver our excess bounty to DENUM for distribution.  We ask Highlands United Methodist Church Members and their friends, neighbors and family members to collect their excess fruit for delivery to the church.   The Green Team will sort and deliver the fruit to DENUM as collections warrant.   We will also use the church’s booth at the Highlands Farmers Market to promote Fruit Watch and serve as an additional collection site!

Yes, Highlands United Methodist Church has a booth at the Highlands Farmers Market on 32 and Lowell!   If you happen to see a fellow church member manning the booth, stop by and say Hello!  If you have questions about Fruit Watch or the Green Team you can direct your questions to Cory Haller. If you have an over bearing fruit tree and can’t manage to harvest it yourself please contact Cory or call the church office to see if we can get you some assistance.
