We are gathering the items that have been stored there and are excited to create searchable archives for those who might want to know more about the “roots” of this wonderful congregation and how it evolved into what it is today.
We will be making some scrapbooks, some digital copies and some digital books that we will eventually be able to share with anyone in the congregation that is interested.
We will displaying all of those plaques and little brass markers that have been awarded to former members in honor or in memory of someone so that everyone can see them and remember.
If you are interested in helping with the archives please let Kay Davey know about your interest and your availability. Some of the work may be able to be done from home. Other work will be at the church. We will be creating paper archives, scrapbook archives and digital archives.
HUMC is also interested in displaying photos from the past and present. If you are great at arranging pictures or photos on walls (we know you are out there!) we are looking for you. We would like to have this wall done by All Saints Day 2015, which we celebrate the first Sunday in November. Just tell Kay
