You can read the Bible faithfully and support GLBT people and same-sex relationships.
Class starts Sunday, June 1 at 6:30
As an inclusive and welcoming congregation, people often wonder how we read the Bible in a way that is fully accepting of GLBTQ persons. Even our own congregation members often ask to be better equipped to discuss such scriptures when people ask. So this class is an opportunity to ask the questions you have, the questions others ask you, and to really look at what the Bible says… not just what other people tell you the Bible says.
In this five week series, we will look at the 6 verses most often used to condemn loving same-sex relationships and see what they were really written about. We will also uncover and learn about verses that speak positively and affirm GLBT persons.
The class will meet Sunday evenings in June, from 6:30-8:30pm. This class is open to all people, especially our neighbors and community members. Enter through the Osceola side doors and signs will guide you to where we will be meeting.
