Highlands United Methodist Church will be hosting a booth for the 32nd annual Denver Highlands Street Fair on Saturday, June 14th. Our booth, located in front of the church on 32nd Ave., will feature a wonderful art exhibit, “Hunger Through My Lens,” provided by Hunger Free Colorado.
“Hunger Through My Lens is an advocacy project that sheds light on the reality of Hunger in the Denver Metro Area.” For more information about this project visit: http://www.hungerfreecolorado.org/news/hunger-through-my-lens.html.
In addition to our booth, the fair will feature live music on two stages, tasty food, libation, and over 150 vendors with arts, crafts, and more! Also provided is a special fun zone for the kids and a classic car show. Festivities begin at 10:00 AM.

This photo represents a couple of things for me. First, you can’t eat with a broken fork just like people in this country can’t eat because of a broken system. But the photo also symbolizes the delicate balancing act that people in poverty have to maintain– finding employment, housing, transportation and food.”
